I haven’t read any of these but your post shares a sneak peek of how people found extraordinary courage to face resistance in a brief yet powerful way.
My son read The Book Thief for school last year and said it's really good. I have Lilac Girls in my stack to get to hopefully this year. I've also heard amazing things about The Nightingale and would love to get to eventually. Thanks for sharing your list.
Second to All the Light! I loved Salt to the Sea though it broke my heart (in a good way). I've also been enjoying Madeline Martin, whose WWII novels always have bibliophilia (The Keeper of Hidden Books is my favorite of hers).
Since 3 of the books on this list were so incredible, I know I must read the others! It is tough to say which I preferred the most of the 3 (All the Light, The Nightingale & The Book Thief), but All The Light We Cannot See was a beautiful story that it may have to be that one. Thanks for this list!

Not usually my thing but they sound interesting . Usually I tend to write fiction but read nonfiction
Of these, the only one I’ve read is The Book Thief. I own Lilac Girls and it’s currently in my TBR. Great post!
Thank you! The Book Thief is an amazing book. You will love Lilac Girls such a great story!

I haven’t read anything from her. Going to look her up now! Thank you.
Actually I was wrong. I have read The Last Bookshop in London. Absolutely amazing book.
Some of my favorites, too. :)
